For its day, an amazingly frank depiction of a homosexual relationship., 6 May 1999
9/10
Author: Peter Burgess Griggs from New Haven, Connecticut

A much later film "Victim", deals with a similar subject.

  • Only one print, a fragmented copy, survives. Other prints were destroyed by the Nazis in the early 1930s.
  • The role played by Conrad Veidt was probably the first homosexual character written for cinema.
